United Association of Union Plumbers and Pipefitters (UA) Vote! PAC Pre-Books $2.3 Million in Competitive Senate and House Races

UA Vote! PAC’s first pre-booking of 2020 cycle comes in broadcast, cable, and digital.

The United Association of Union Plumbers and Pipefitters (UA) Vote! PAC today announced its first round of independent expenditures in competitive U.S. Senate and U.S. House races. This pre-booking includes over $2.3 million in broadcast television, cable, satellite, and digital buys in competitive and priority races for the UA.

“With the future of our country on the ballot this fall, the UA is taking no chances to ensure our elected officials fight for working families,” said Mark McManus, General President of the United Association. “We’re committed to electing members who will protect UA jobs and fight for fair wages and benefits. When this group of candidates gets to Washington next year, UA members will have strong allies who understand what working families need from their politicians.”

“The UA is making major investments in candidates who will not only stand with our members, but work to create jobs, support fair wages and benefits, and back critical infrastructure projects that grow America's economy,” said Russ Breckenridge, Senior Political Advisor for the United Association. “Now is not the time to sit on the sidelines. The UA is committed to helping our endorsed candidates continue in our tradition of winning the most competitive races in the country.”

Today’s round of initial pre-booking follows the successful rollout of the new “Battleground UA” campaign, including a robust online member education ad program. You can learn more about Battleground UA on Twitter and at www.UAGetInvolved.org and you can view the member education ad campaign here.
