At the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO, CLC (UA) 40th General Convention in San Diego, California and Calgary, Alberta, Canada, UA General President Mark McManus was unanimously re-elected to his second five-year term as General President. General Secretary-Treasurer Patrick Kellett and Assistant General President Michael Pleasant were also re-elected to five-year terms.
“Serving as General President is the honor of my lifetime. I am humbled that my brothers and sisters unanimously voted to grant me another term leading the United Association,” said Mark McManus, General President of the United Association. “Over the last five years, we have made huge strides to strengthen our union, grow our ranks, and enact policies in Washington and Ottawa that help our members win more work with fair wages and benefits. Now, we have even more work ahead of us. I look forward to getting right back to work with the General Officers in Annapolis to continue on the progress of the last five years and to make sure we keep the UA strong for generations to come.”
