On the 11th annual World Plumbing Day, the United Association of Union Plumbers and Pipefitters (UA) recognizes and celebrates the contributions of safe plumbing to our society and the work UA members do every day:
“At the United Association, we have the best trained and most highly skilled craftspeople in the worldwide plumbing industry. We are immensely proud of our members who work each day to deliver safe, clean, and reliable water to our communities,” said Mark McManus, General President of the United Association. “On World Plumbing Day, we celebrate our UA plumbers who go above and beyond building and maintaining our nation’s water infrastructure – especially in the face of a global pandemic.”
“Not everyone has the simple luxury of turning on their faucet or flushing their toilet. On this World Plumbing Day, we all take a moment to appreciate these luxuries we take for granted each day, and to celebrate the work our Brothers and Sisters do to bring safe and clean plumbing systems to communities all over the world,” said Tom Bigley, UA Director of Plumbing and Chair of the World Plumbing Council. “The UA is making a difference at home and abroad through our training methods and scholarship programs to promote safe plumbing standards and clean water. Even in the midst of a pandemic, UA plumbers have continued to deliver these luxuries we take for granted.”
