After winning five Pollie Awards during the 2019 political campaign cycle, the United Association of Union Plumbers and Pipefitters (UA) took home eight total Pollie Awards for the 2020 cycle – including four gold awards.
“At the United Association, we fight tirelessly to elect candidates who will have our back once they get to Washington. We were proud to go all-in to win these critical races,” said Mark McManus, General President of the United Association. “These awards demonstrate the growing role the UA plays in helping to elect pro-union, pro-worker, and pro-UA candidates at all levels of government.”
“Our gold medal winning member-to-member issue campaign laid the groundwork to engage UA membership in the political process,” said Russ Breckenridge, Senior Political Advisor for the United Association. “We were proud to pull out all the stops to help get our endorsed candidates elected. These wins are yet another sure sign that the United Association is primed to play a pivotal role in winning critical races for years to come.”
