Following the election of Joe Biden as President-elect and Kamala Harris as Vice President-elect, the United Association of Union Plumbers and Pipefitters (UA) General President Mark McManus issued the following statement:
“After a long election, we now have a clear path forward for the working families of this nation. As President-elect Biden said, ‘there will be no blue states and red states – just the United States.’ We at the United Association are eager to get to work with the incoming Biden-Harris Administration to rebuild our infrastructure, grow new energy projects that will keep costs down for average American families, and protect the rights of all workers to organize and fight for fair wages and benefits.
“Our membership engaged this cycle in campaigns up and down the ballot, winning critical races for bipartisan allies of the United Association and delivering the key swing states of Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin for Joe Biden. Make no mistake about it: this will be the most pro-worker Presidency this country has ever seen, and we have union members like the Brothers and Sisters of the United Association to thank for this victory.”
